Egyptian men wore kilts or simple tunics. Their upper body was usually bare because of the intense heat.

An Egyptian town house usually contained 2 floors. The top floor was usually the bedroom and didn't have many walls because of the heat.

The cooking was usually done on the roof because it was considered a dangerous fire hazard.

Egyptian women wore long dresses. Most of the time one or both of their shoulders were bare.
