The Ancient Egyptians were very skilled writers.   They had to memorize over 700 symbols, and almost never made mistakes.   Only the scribes wrote in hieroglyphics, and did to assume their high position.   The hieroglyphic language was usually written from left to right or top to bottom. Back to Top
