McT Web Sirius was a star that was very
important to the Egyptians. It was important to
them because it helped them predict the flooding of
the Nile. It disappeared... And then reappeared just before
the Nile flooded. Sirius was very important to the
Egyptians and it told them when to prepare to plant
their crops.
