Some temples had large stone
pillars called obelisks that had writing of a
battle that the pharaoh who built the temple
won. Priests had absolutely no body
hair. Temples were used for more than
just worshipping. Priests had grain silos in the
temple and there were also stores inside the
temple. In some temples the head priest lived
within it. In one temple, the columns of
the temple were large statues of the pharoah Ramses
