McCarthy-Towne Sixth Grade

Ancient Egypt Facts

In sixth grade, McCarthy-Towne students study ancient Egypt. As part of their study, each student creates a presentation on a specific subject area as part of a group.

In Computer Lab, the students created web pages to share the highlights of the information from their presentations. The web pages include facts about the subject area the student presented and drawings to help illustrate the facts.

All the artwork was created on the computer by the students. They used either the Appleworks Paint program or the Appleworks Draw program to create the artwork.

The students also designed their web pages, working from a template, and created links to the pages of the other students in their group. They used Clarisworks Home Page 3.0 to create the web pages.
